Read Ariella Azoulay's "Has Anyone Ever Seen a Photograph of a Rape?" (pgs. 217-241). As you can obviously tell from the title, this is an essay about an intense topic, and it does contain a few images that are truly disturbing. I understand that. If you do not feel you can read this essay, I understand and will not force anyone to talk about this essay. Our activities will be anonymous and/or broader than they have been in the past. Everyone who shows up to class will receive full credit for DWA #19. We will read the rest of the essay for Thursday, and DWA #20 will also be given to everyone who shows up.
